Pastor Michael Tomlinson had a 30 year heroin addiction and did 18 years in various state prisons. He became a Christian, but that wasn't enough to keep him from going back to prison two more times.
As he sat there in prison and witnessed the same men coming in over and over again, God revealed to him that these men needed discipleship training to stay out of prison.
Pastor Tomlinson was released for the last time and in 1996, Jordan Crossing Ministries was established.
For the past 12 years Jordan Crossing Ministries has discipled a vast amount of men who were released from prison, jail, and off the streets.
For about five years during this period a women's discipleship home was established as well. Many women and their children were discipled and set free from addictions.
The men's home is located in Northern California. This home serves six (6) men and one (1) house leader. For twelve years this ministry has derived its revenue from residential private pay, and charitable donations.
